Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Synapki.
What is Synapki?
Synapki is an AI-powered knowledge management tool that helps you clip web pages and automatically generate organized wiki pages. It uses AI to build a knowledge graph from your research, so you can focus on learning instead of organizing.
What does "zero-storage" mean?
Synapki never stores your wiki content on our servers. When you clip a page, the content is processed in memory by our AI engine, and the resulting wiki page is written directly to your own cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive). We process — we never persist your data.
Where is my wiki data stored?
Your wiki pages live entirely in your own cloud storage — Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. You own your data, and you can access, edit, or delete it at any time without going through Synapki.
What LLM providers do you support?
Synapki integrates with OpenRouter, giving you access to a wide range of LLM models including OpenAI, Anthropic, and others. You can choose which model to use based on your needs and preferences — no vendor lock-in.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free tier includes 30 clips per month and 10 AI queries per day. It's designed to let you experience the full workflow before committing to a paid plan.
What are the paid plan limits?
The Pro tier offers 500 clips/month and 200 queries/day. The Team tier provides 3,000 clips/month and 1,000 queries/day. See our pricing page for full details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but keeps your Pro access active until the end of your current billing period. All billing is handled securely through Stripe.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Account deletion removes all your metadata from our database, invalidates extension tokens, cancels your Stripe subscription, and removes OAuth connections. Your wiki content in your cloud storage is completely unaffected — it remains in your Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
Which browsers are supported?
The Synapki browser extension is available for Chrome and Firefox. Visit our download page to get the extension for your browser.
Can I use Synapki on desktop?
Yes. Synapki also offers a standalone desktop application built with Tauri for local wiki management. The desktop app works independently or alongside the cloud-synced SaaS version.
Is my data secure?
Yes. OAuth tokens to your cloud storage are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all communications, and payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card details. Since we don't store your wiki content, there's no content data to breach on our servers.
